How to complete the Convict to Convent challenge in BitLife

Good luck.

Our BitLife characters are here to seek redemption for their past during the Convict to Convent challenge. Although our character starts by performing dangerous and heinous crimes, they gradually learn to love others and themselves after some reflection. Or, well, they’ll briefly change before reverting right back to usual.

BitLife Convict to Convent challenge guide

BitLife’s Convict to Convent challenge has five tasks to complete:

  • Be born a female in Germany
  • Murder someone
  • Escape from prison
  • Adopt a pet
  • Become a nun after going to prison

You won’t need any expansion packs to complete this challenge. However, owning the Assassin’s Blade item from BitLife’s marketplace will make the second task much easier, especially if your target keeps retaliating.

Be born a female in Germany

Your first task is to be born a female in Germany. To do this, you’ll need to create a new character whose starting gender is female and whose starting country is Germany. The exact city is entirely up to you.

Although your stats don’t matter for this particular challenge, having the criminal special talent will make it slightly easier to eliminate someone later in your character’s life. This is optional, though, and you can get through this entire challenge with some luck and determination.

Eliminating someone

We’re jumping right into the deep end with this next task. To assassinate a character in BitLife, head into Activities, Crime, and Murder before picking any target you wish. Your safest bet is to choose a random person before picking options like Drive-by or Poison as your method. You’re much more likely to succeed with methods that leave little evidence behind and even less opportunity to retaliate.

The best part? It doesn’t matter if you land in jail after. As long as you pull off the elimination attempt, jail time will lead you to the next task without any problems.

Escaping from prison

Our next objective is to escape from prison after committing a crime. If you weren’t caught in the previous task, have your character commit a less severe offence like burglary, porch pirating, or shoplifting to receive a relatively short sentence. You’re also less likely to end up in a maximum security prison, making the escape minigame much easier.

Once you land in jail through any means necessary, you can escape through the main game screen’s Jail menu. From here, you can watch an ad to obtain a guard outfit and automatically escape or complete its minigame by avoiding the guards.

Your exact strategy depends on the minigame’s difficulty and grid size. You can also check out our complete guide to escaping prison in BitLife for more in-depth advice on succeeding in this minigame.

Adopting a pet

The next task of BitLife’s Convict to Convent challenge is to adopt a pet. Normally, you do this by heading into Activities, Pets, and either the Animal Shelter or a breeder. You’d then pick any animal and pay the fee to adopt it.

However, your character now has a criminal record, preventing them from adopting a pet. The solution to this is emigrating to another country. Most countries in BitLife will deny entry if you have a criminal record, but you can enter anyway, letting you temporarily live as a regular citizen until someone catches you. Until then, though, you’ll be free to adopt a pet to knock out this challenge.

Becoming a nun after going to prison

Your last objective is to become a nun after going to and escaping from prison. Normally, you do this by heading into your full-time job list, scrolling to the bottom, and looking for a career as a nun. If the option doesn’t appear, close and reopen your BitLife app before trying again.

Much like the previous task, though, you won’t be able to complete this until you enter another country to clear your criminal record temporarily. Use these couple of years to land the job before the authorities find your character. You can then search for the job, land an interview, and become a nun to wrap up the challenge.

Once your character succeeds in assassinating someone, escaping jail, and becoming a nun, you’ll complete BitLife’s Convict to Convent challenge, letting you choose from one of four mystery boxes to claim a random cosmetic prize.
